Sony sacking Reitman for Ghostbuster 3?

The latest was that Ghostbusters 3 was set for production, with original Ghostbusters producer and director Ivan Reitman directing. If only things went right, we would be looking at a 2011 release at the latest, but now Sony has indicated that they wish to sack Reitman for a hot new director, as is the case with the Spider-Man franchise. 

The only catch is that Reitman himself who, along with original cast members Murray, Ramis and Akyroyd signed a contract which gave them the power over a any sequel. Which is where the problem lies, Reitman has said that he has no intention of letting Sony do it without him. 

So we are stuck with a bitter Sony, which don't want him, and a stubborn director who wont let Sony do it without him. Things don't look to bright for Ghostbusters 3, and in this case I sympathize with Sony on this one. Reitman hasn't done a decent film for years, and I can't say I trust him with Ghostbusters 3. It was almost a fairy tale when the news reached me that all the origional cast including Bill Murray was coming together to make another sequel, and in this case it was to good to be true. Lets just hope this is sorted out soon.

Ridley Scott Considering doing 'Alien' Prequel in 3D

Lately there have been some rumors circling around that there might be another Alien film on the horizion, and at the center of these rumors is director of the first 'Alien' movie Ridley Scott. With these rumours came confirmation that indeed Scot was attached to the project and yes he is exploring the idea of having his Prequel in 3D. Shadowlocked spoke with the Art director Roger Christian   of the origional Alien film (who also did the art for Star Wars) about Scott's  Prequel.


"Ridleys doing the next Alien in 3D. He has a very clear understanding of where this should go. They kind of stopped dead one of the greatest horror franchises there's ever been, and it had legs to go on. So I'm hoping he'll revive another three. The world certainly wants it, and the fans want it - everybody. "

The facts seem solid enough, the next Alien will be in 3D. You didn't hear it from me. Also what we interpreted is that he sees there being another three films revided in the series. So get your 3D glasses ready, for whats sure to be a very wild ride.

Johnny Depp to play the Riddler in Batman 3?

Casting rumors for Batman 3 have already started to circle around the internet, and I know this is only early days but to firmly fix our attention into the future, rumors suggest that Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp may in fact play the Riddler. Although this is one of the most out their rumours to surface, I and lots of other people firmly believe that Depp would be perfect for this role. But aswell as the fans opting for Johnny to feature in the upcoming Batman movie, the man himself has said several times that he would like to ocupy the role.

Just look at how The Dark Knight turned out, it had huge succes with amazing preformances from Heith Ledger (Rest In Peace) who astounded us with his near to perfect portrayle of super-badie The Joker and Aaron Eggheart as the two-faced Harvey Dent/two face. Director Christopher Nolan has said he would like to have Depp on board for Batman 3.
